Campus Buses:
The following buses provide transportation from other Rutgers (New Brunswick/Piscataway) campuses to Livingston campus:
B Livingston to Busch
L College Ave. to Livingston
LX College Ave. to Livingston (Express)
All buses stop at the Livingston Book Store. Walk across the street. The building is on the right. It's right next to the Day Care Center.
Garden State Parkway Southbound:
Turn off at Exit 129 for the New Jersey Turnpike and head south. Turn off at Exit 9, bear right after the tollbooths and follow signs for “Route 18 North – New Brunswick.” Stay to the left to continue on Route 18 North. Proceed along Route 18 North, crossing the Raritan River (approximately 3.7 miles). Continue on Route 18 North. Proceed on Route 18 north. Take the second exit marked Metlars Lane, Rutgers RAC, Livingston Campus. Make a right onto Avenue E before the light. Proceed on Avenue E and make the second left onto Rockafeller Road after passing the red Rutgers University Health Services building. At the stop sign, make a right onto Joyce Kilmer Avenue. The Livingston Day Care Center will be on the left hand side, across from the Livingston Bookstore.
Garden State Parkway Northbound:
Turn off at Exit 105 and follow signs for Route 18 North. After approximately 24 miles, you will pass the entrance for the New Jersey Turnpike. Proceed along Route 18 North, crossing the Raritan River (approximately 3.7 miles). Continue on Route 18 North. Proceed on Route 18 north. Take the second exit marked Metlars Lane, Rutgers RAC, Livingston Campus. Make a right onto Avenue E before the light. Proceed on Avenue E and make the second left onto Rockafeller Road after passing the red Rutgers University Health Services building. At the stop sign, make a right onto Joyce Kilmer Avenue. The Livingston Day Care Center will be on the left hand side, across from the Livingston Bookstore.
NJ Turnpike:

Interstate 287:
Turn off at Exit 9 “Bound Brook/Highland Park." Proceed East on River Road toward Highland Park. Continue on River Road and you will pass under the overpass for Route 18. Make the next left onto Route 18 North. Proceed on Route 18 north. Take the second exit marked Metlars Lane, Rutgers RAC, Livingston Campus. Make a right onto Avenue E before the light. Proceed on Avenue E and make the second left onto Rockafeller Road after passing the red Rutgers University Health Services building. At the stop sign, make a right onto Joyce Kilmer Avenue. The Livingston Day Care Center will be on the left hand side, across from the Livingston Bookstore.
US Route 1:
Turn off at exit marked “Route 18 North-New Brunswick." Proceed along Route 18 North, crossing the Raritan River (approximately 3.7 miles). Continue on Route 18 North. Proceed on Route 18 north. Take the second exit marked Metlars Lane, Rutgers RAC, Livingston Campus. Make a right onto Avenue E before the light. Proceed on Avenue E and make the second left onto Rockafeller Road after passing the red Rutgers University Health Services building. At the stop sign, make a right onto Joyce Kilmer Avenue. The Livingston Day Care Center will be on the left hand side, across from the Livingston Bookstore.
Public Transit:
Trains- New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor Line provides New Brunswick with both local and express service between New York and Newark's Penn Stations and Trenton New Jersey. (for more information, call 973-762-5100).
- SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority) provides service at Trenton to and from Philadelphia. (for more information, call 215-580-7800).
- Amtrak provides limited direct service to New Brunswick, however connections can easily be made via New Jersey Transit trains to principle Amtrak stations at MetroPark, New York and Trenton. (for more information, call 1-800-USA-RAIL)

- New Jersey Transit Bus Routes (For Information 973-762-5100):
- M11 - Service between New Brunswick (St. Peter's Hospital) and South River (Main Street and Obert Street). This route also has a stop at the New Brunswick Train Station.
- M14 - Service between North Brunswick (Fashion Plaza Mall) and Edison (Middlesex County College) with a stop at the Rutgers Student Center on the College Avenue Campus and at the New Brunswick Train Station. From Rutgers Student Center, you can take either Campus Bus route “L” or “LX” to the Livingston Campus.
- M15/M18 - Service between Woodbridge Center and Rutgers Student Center with stops at the Rutgers Student Center on the College Avenue Campus, downtown New Brunswick on George Street near the Civic Square Building , and on the Douglass Campus on George Street near Cooper Dining Hall. From the Douglass Campus, you can take Campus Bus route “GG” to the Livingston Campus.

- The New Brunswick Train Station is located at the corner of Albany Street and Easton Avenue across from the Rutgers Bookstore.
- Cab service is available from the train station.
- Campus Bus route “L” will provide direct service from the Train Station/ Rutgers Bookstore to the Livingston Campus.
- Campus Bus routes “EE”,“F”, and “L” have a stop on George Street just before Somerset Street. Take either bus to the Rutgers Student Center.
- You can also walk up to Easton Avenue (short hill) and turn right on Somerset Street.
- Proceed for half a block and turn left onto College Avenue.
- Information and directions for reaching other campuses or facilities can be obtained at either the Rutgers Student Center's Information Desk or the Campus Bus Depot.
