Scholarship in Chinese StudiesThe Rutgers Department of Asian Languages and Cultures is pleased to announce the first annual Call for Applications for the Show-Mei and I-Fang Tu Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Chinese Studies.
- What: One or two scholarships of up to $1000.
- When: For the Academic Year 2005 - 2006.
- Who is Eligible: Full-time undergraduates majoring in Chinese, or East Asian Languages and Area Studies with a concentration in Chinese, or minoring in Chinese or Asian Studies with the Chinese language.
- Details: Scholarships are based on academic merit and recipients will be chosen by a selection committee.
- How to Apply: Interested students should write an essay (at least 2 pages, double spaced, 12 point type) explaining how they fulfill the eligibility requirements and how they will apply the knowledge and skills they gain in their major or minor to their future plans. The students should then send the essay together with an official transcript to:
