September 4th - Fall Asian American Student Leadership Retreat

Unite as one! Network, learn new skills, build leadership. Learn about your work style, time and stress management, and preventing programming pitfalls. Open to all student organization leaders. Lunch and refreshments will be served.

The retreat runs from 11:30am - 6:30pm, at the Busch Campus Center MPR.

September 15th - Jeff Sheng

Jeff's photography project, "fearless", showcases out lesbian and gay high school and college athletes, to highlight how homophobia adversely affects our society, particularly in sports.

The talk starts at 6:30pm at the Asian American Cultural Center. All are welcome!

September 21st - Freshman Social

Come one, come all! Find out about Asian American student involvement on campus. AACC brought together all your favorite organization from campus to one place. Free food, carnival games, prizes, and lots of fun!

The carnival will start at 7:00pm at the Rutgers Student Center MPR.

October 2nd - AACC Open House

Celebrate our annual opening with great food and company! Enjoy various cultural foods while you meet our staff and students.

Our Open House will be from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at our Center.

October 8th - Liberty in North Korea (LiNK): "Seoul Train"

With its riveting footage from the secretive Underground Railroad of Asia, "Seoul Train" is the gripping documentary that exposes the life and death of North Koreans as they try to excape their homeland and China.

The screening will start at 8:00pm at the Busch Campus Center MPR. Light refreshments will be served.

October 22nd - Bollywood Film Night

Turn off the tube and join us for a night South Asian cinema. Film titles to be announced.

The film will start at 8:00pm at the Asian American Cultural Center. All are welcome!

November 3rd - Moustafa Bayoumi: Being Young & Arab in America

Dr. Moustafa Bayoumi will explore issues of race, religion, and civil rights in modern day America and the young Arab-American experience.

The talk will begin at 6:00pm. Location to be announced. Light refreshments will be served.

November 10th - Asian American Hip Hop Night

Listen to the beats of underground Asian American hip hop artists like Magnetic North, Lyricks & Manifest, Surrilla, Lyraflip, Dumbfoundead, JohnnyPhlo, and DJ Zo.

The show will start at 8:00pm at the Rutgers Student Center.

November 16th - Diversity Issues Open Forum

Meet with other student leaders for a candid discussion and open forum about race relations, inter/intra-racial discrimination, and how it affects our lives.

The forum will begin at 8:00pm at the Asian American Cultural Center. Light refreshments will be served.
